Donor Advised Funds

Flexibility in Giving, Impact in Living

A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is an investment account that is used for charitable giving, allowing you to contribute cash, securities, or other assets to a fund dedicated to your charitable interests. They are a flexible and tax-efficient way to manage your charitable giving, allowing you to make a meaningful impact at a pace that matches your giving goals. Unlike bequests and endowments that typically come into effect later, DAFs allow you to actively participate in your philanthropy during your lifetime, aligning with the idea that giving is journey.

Why Consider DAFs?
  1. Tax Efficiency: Receive immediate tax benefits when you contribute to a DAF.

  2. Flexibility: Recommend grants to your favorite charities at any time.

  3. Legacy Planning: Involve your family in your philanthropy and establish a tradition of giving. Click here to understand where your support is going.

How to set up a DAF
  1. Choose Your Assets: Decide what assets you would like to contribute. DAFs can accept a variety of assets including cash, stocks, cryptocurrency, and more.

  2. Select a Sponsor: Work with your financial advisor to choose a sponsoring organization such as CCE to administer your DAF.

  3. Give a Gift: Use your existing Donor Advised Fund to make a gift to CCE, or include the organization as a remainder beneficiary of your fund.
